Electricity production in Turkey increased by 7.8 percent in July 2012 compared to the same month in 2011, amounting to 22.5 billion kw / h, the Turkish state-owned electricity transmission (TEIAS) said on Tuesday.
Consumption of electricity increased by 8.4 percent in July 2012 compared to July 2011, amounting to 22.8 billion kw / h
During this period, Turkey imported 596 million kW / h of electricity.
Electricity production in Turkey increased by 8.1 percent in January-June 2012 compared to the same period in 2011, amounting to 141.4 billion kw / h.
Imports of electricity to Turkey amounted to 2.9 billion kW / h for seven months.
Electricity consumption for the period increased by 8.2 percent compared to the same period in 2011, amounting to 144 billion kW / h.
