Oil imports to Turkey reduced by 21 percent reaching 1 million barrels in March 2013 compared to the previous month, the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority said today.
Imports of diesel fuel during this period rose by 21.1 percent to 752,600 tons compared to the previous month.
According to the report, oil imports decreased by 16.2 percent reaching 3.6 million tons in January-March 2013 compared to the same period in 2012.
Imports of diesel fuel during the first quarter rose by 11.6 percent to 1.9 million tons.
Exports of petrol from Turkey increased by 1 percent to 207,800 tons, while exports of aviation fuel reduced by 1 percent up to 142,900 tons. Exports of shipping fuel from Turkey increased by 57 percent up to 197,100 tons.
Exports of petrol rose by 9 percent and amounted to 621,000 tons from January-March 2013 compared to the same period in 2012. Exports of aviation fuel for the period decreased by 2 percent to 440,000 tons, shipping fuel - by 43 percent up to 427,800 tons.
