Some 39 rare books worth tens of thousands euros are stolen from Tbilisi State University's library, Head of the Department of Internal Audit of the Ministry of Education and Science, Irakli Andriashvili said.
According to the announcement of the Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini , the Department of Internal Audit investigated the violations in the library of Tbilisi State University. The facts of violation of the criminal law were revealed - 39 rare historical books of the 18th and the 19 the centuries are stolen. The cost of these books amounts to thousands euros.
According to Irakli Andriashvili, Ministry of Education and Science will not allow anyone to arrogate the treasury of the state and use the education resources for the personal benefits by different financial intrigues.
