Clashes were taking place between Libyan rebels and forces loyal to leader Moamer Gaddafi in the eastern city of Misurata, a resident told Al Arabiya on Sunday.
Gunfire could be heard at the western and southern entrances to Misurata, as Gaddafi's forces try to move into the heart of the city, he said in a telephone interview, dpa reported.
