Lithuania supports Georgia’s integration to NATO

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite had a phone conversation on Aug. 19 as part of preparation for the upcoming NATO summit.

Georgian presidential administration told Trend that during the conversation Margvelashvili thanked Grybauskaite for Lithuania's support to territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia, as well as the process of Georgia's integration into the European and Euro-Atlantic structures.

During the talk the parties expressed hope that Georgia's progress in integration to the NATO will be noted during the Wales Summit of NATO.

This will be reflected in the summit's main document.

Georgian and Lithuanian presidents also discussed the events in Ukraine, expressing concern about the situation in this country.
