Given the complexities of today's work environment, the organizations today need a new security model that can adapt more effectively, meet all the needs of employees, and protect the staff, devices, applications, and data wherever they are, General Manager of Microsoft Azerbaijan, Gachay Mirzayev told Trend.
“The functional tools of artificial intelligence and analytics are used to detect anomalies and respond to them in real-time,” the general manager said.
The Trust No One model is based on the assumption that the network within the corporate firewall is insecure and all requests are treated as if they come from an open network. Regardless of the source of request and resources, the Trust No one concept is based on the "Never trust, always check" principle. Each access request is pre-authenticated, authorized, and encrypted. The principles of micro-segmentation and minimal privileges are applied to minimize the lateral movement.
Microsoft Azerbaijan considers the security issues comprehensively and thoroughly. This approach brought the company to the top of the five Gartner magic quadrants. According to Forrester's research, the Microsoft Azerbaijan security platform automatically reflects 97 percent of detected attacks, which frees up the resources to resolve the most difficult situations.
Mirzayev also noted the lack of qualified local personnel.
“We see that today there is a severe lack of local personnel, therefore, together with our partners and customers, we are conducting the online practice,” the general manager added. “This will help to train about 100 certified local specialists in all spheres, as well as in the field of cybersecurity.”
“Presently, we are fully focused on this project,” Mirzayev added. “I suppose that the success of other projects in the country will depend on the success of the trained personnel. Of course, the implementation of other projects such as "Virtual School", "Digital Transformation", "Raising awareness in the opportunities and benefits of using ICT", etc. is underway.”
