The unified system of third party liability insurance for drivers "Green Card" will simplify and speed up the border crossing procedure between Azerbaijan and Turkey, Executive Director at Compulsory Insurance Bureau of Azerbaijan Rashad Ahmadov said at the signing ceremony of the protocol regarding the integration of Green Card System, Trend reports.
According to him, the Green Card civil liability insurance system for vehicle owners has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2016.
"Its advantage is third party insurance for drivers traveling abroad. The Green Card System allows registering trucks, passenger cars, buses, and motorcycles. The dynamics of insured events in the member countries of the system is multidirectional," Ahmadov said.
The executive director noted that the integration of the "Green Card" liability insurance system for vehicle owners will simplify and accelerate the border crossing procedure between Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as will help prevent the use of false documents.
According to him, after the system integration, the sale and purchase procedures of Green Card policies will be made easier.
