A fatal accident took place in Absheron region, a statement published on the official website of Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
According to the information, a report about the crash between VAZ and Mercedes brand cars on the 26th kilometer of the Baku-Shamakhi road was received on the 112 emergency hotline number of the ministry. The driver of VAZ Teyyub Bekirov died at the scene from the injuries.
According to witnesses, the passenger of VAZ and the driver of Mercedes cars were injured and taken to hospital by ambulance.
