Great Britain, London / Тrend corr G. Ahmadova / A wax figure to the national Azerbaijani leader Heydar Aliyev was erected in the well-known Wax Figures Museum of Madame Tussauds on 15 December.
The Azerbaijani Ambassador to Great Britain Fakhraddin Gurbanov, the pro-rector of the Baku State University Nargiz Pashayeva, Heydar Aliyev's niece Arzu Aliyeva, as well as the Azerbaijani MPs, took place in the solemn ceremony.
The heads of the diplomatic missions of Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and Belarus to Great Britain were in attendance.
Opening the ceremony, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to GB called the event a very important and significant one.
The wax figure to Heydar Aliyev will be standing in the Madame Tussauds Museum nearby the former US President John Kennedy, Margaret Tetchier (the GB Prime Minister between 1979 and 1990), Nelson Mandela (the first black President of the Republic of South Africa).
