Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 May /corr. Trend J.Babayeva / The Head of the public forum 'For Azerbaijan', Eldar Namazov, has decided to participate in the upcoming presidential elections, Namazov reported to Trend on 5 May.
In 1993-1999, Namazov was the Head of Presidential Secretariat of Azerbaijan.
The presidential elections will take place in Azerbaijan on 15 October.
From the opposition camp, the Chairman of Musavat Party- Sa Gambar, Chairman of Azerbaijan Democratic Party- Sardar Jalaloglu, Chairman of Green Party of Azerbaijan- Mayis Gulaliyev, have already highlighted their intentions to nominate themselves for presidency. The ruling New Azerbaijan Party has stated that it will nominate the Chairman of the Party, current President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
