Azerbaijan, Baku, 13 May / corr Trend I.Alizade / On 13 May Boris Gryzlov, the chairman of the lower house of Russian Duma [Parliament], set up an official to Azerbaijan on 13 May.
The visit began with a tribute at the Memorial of former Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev at the Cemetery of Honors and the Cemetery of Martyrs.
At present Gryzlov is meeting with the chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov. It is also planned to meet with Azerbaijani prime minister Artur Rasizade, as well as President Ilham Aliyev.
Gryzlov will also visit the Russian Orthodox Church and meet with Russians residing in Azerbaijan. It is also planned to hold a news conference on the results of the visit.
The key objective of the visit is to hold discussions on expansion of relations between Russian and Azerbaijan.
The chair of the State Duma arrived in Azerbaijan with one-day official.
