Ex-speaker of Georgian Parliament Nino Burjanadze asks pardon for November 7

Ex-speaker of the Georgian Parliament Nino Burjanadze asked pardon that she was in power and could not protect population from tyranny. "I beg pardon that people injured from power on November 7 and I failed to protect them, she said at the meeting in front of the Georgian Parliament where over 30,000 people gathered. 

"We should unite as it will be impossible to achieve our goal - resignation of Saakashvili," she said expressing confidence that it will take place.

Burjanadze promised that she will be with people till the end and will do her best to improve the situation. "We gathered to call for resignation of Saakashvili and he will leave his post as we united around this requirement," she said.

Burjanadze stressed that Georgia has a worthy enemy with whom it is impossible to speak from a power position. Saakashvili did not understand it," she said. It should be noted that her statement was held amid whistle of the action's participants.
