Georgian Foreign Ministry required the ambassador of Turkey to this country to give an explanation about opening of Italian Beneton Company's shop in Sukhumi by the Turkish representation.

The Foreign Minister of Georgia Grigol Vashadze said on May 25 that Deputy Minister Alexander Nalbandov today met with the ambassador of Turkey, and handed over him the requirement of the Georgian side. "The same requirement will be made to the ambassador of Italy," he said.

The Minister noted that the Georgian side is not against commercial activities in the occupied territories, but this must be done with full observance of Georgian legislation.

"Let be kind and to be registered in Georgia, and operate with our consent," Vashadze said, noting that the Georgian side has all levers "stop this effrontery".

According to him, legal and business assessment will be done on this fact.
