Food poisoning at a military unit in Azerbaijan leaves many suffered (UPDATED-3 - laboratory examination of food underway) - PHOTOS

Food poisoning among soldiers at a military unit in Mushvigabad village of Garadagh District, Azerbaijan, has left many suffered.

The ambulances rushed the suffered to hospitals of Baku, including Central Military Clinical Hospital, Trend correspondent reported from the scene of incident.

Many of the soldiers were released from the Central Military Clinical Hospital after preliminary examination.

Musa Nagiyev First Aid Hospital Chief physician Tofig Suleymanov informed that it was an ordinary food poisoning. Condition of the soldiers taken to the hospital is stable, he added.

Meanwhile Trend correspondent reported that the First Aid Hospital transferred 11 soldiers to the Central Military Clinical Hospital.

The military unit and hospitals did not provide additional information in this respect.

Trend correspondent reported from the Central Clinical Hospital that on Wednesday morning, six buses with soldiers were released from hospitals. Their health condition is satisfactory.

Yet no exact data were provided on the number of the suffered from poisoning in the military unit.

Azerbaijani Deputy Defense Minister Chingiz Mammedov arrived on the scene.

Currently, composition of food allowance for soldiers in this military unit is under examination, the Azerbaijani Health Ministry told Trend .
