Bilateral relations of Azerbaijan and Pakistan to be discussed at meeting of joint commission in September: ambassador to Pakistan

Meeting of Azerbaijani-Pakistani commission will be held in Baku in September. Bilateral relations in all spheres will be discussed, as well as new decisions will be made during this meeting, Azerbaijani ambassador to Pakistan Eynulla Madatli said. 

"The first vice-Prime Minister of the Azerbaijani government will represent Azerbaijan. But minister of oil and natural resources will admittedly represent Pakistani side," ambassador told Trend at the international conference dedicated to the Azerbaijani foreign ministry on July 8.  

Ambassador stressed stabile development between Azerbaijan and Pakistan especially within the last year.

Azerbaijan and Pakistan signed the agreement on military cooperation. Turnover between countries hit $4.7 million in January-April.

Secretary of Pakistani defense ministry, commodore of naval forces and head of general staff of Pakistani air forces expected to visit Azerbaijani in the nearest months, ambassador said.

Sides expect Azerbaijani representatives to visit Pakistan, ambassador said. 

Diplomatic station will be set up for employees of the Azerbaijani embassy in Islamabad, he said. Administrative buildings, residence of the embassy, building for employees of the embassy will be located there.

"I hope for our representatives to attend commencement ceremony," ambassador said.
