Georgia, Tbilisi, August 3 / Trend , N. Kirtshalia /
Intermediate parliamentary elections in Georgia will be postponed. A political decision on this matter was made on August 3 as a result of consultations between the Speaker of Parliament David Bakradze and representatives of the parliamentary minority.
In connection with this decision, a meeting of the Bureau of Parliament will be held. It will schedule an extraordinary session of parliament, which will approve the decision to postpone the intermediate elections.
Postponing election was initiated by Christian Democrats, who believe that it is necessary to first adopt a new Electoral Code, and then hold elections.
"This new code should define the competitive environment," the parliamentary minority considers.
