A delegation from the UAE, led by Adviser to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of this country, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahayan arrived in Ashgabat.
The Turkmen government said that a senior official met with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov. He stressed that the UAE attaches great importance to cooperation with Turkmenistan, which as a reliable and trustworthy partner.
Companies from the United Arab Emirates in Turkmenistan are involved mainly in oil and gas industry.
Dragon Oil is working under the Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea. Petrofac has received a contract for implementation of services to develop the country's largest gas-bearing deposit South Yoloten in Mary region.
Moreover, Mubadala Company holds talks with top managers of the Turkmen fuel and energy complex on prospects for future cooperation. The UAE has recently held a specialized international investment forum in Turkmenistan.
