Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General: Academician Ziya Bunyadov’s killers hide in Iran
Azerbaijan, Baku, April 27 / Trend, A. Huseynbala /
Measures to find the murder of journalist Elmar Huseynov and academician Ziya Bunyadov are continuing, Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General said.
"Elmar Huseynov was killed in 2005. Parliamentary elections were to be held in that year, and the organizers of the assassination attempted to destabilize the public and political situation in the country. We have proved it on the basis of findings obtained through technical means by foreign experts and the accused individuals are wanted," Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General
Zakir Garalov said today during his speech at the Parliament.
According to him, National Security Ministry continues search actions on these cases.
"During the investigation of Bunyadov's murder it was revealed that the crime was organized by specific religious circles of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Two of the organizers of the murder found an asylum in this country. They are Javanshir Aslanov and Tariel Ramazanov," Garalov said.
According to him, General Prosecutor's Office immediately takes under control every illegal act against journalists, and its investigation is conducted to the end. In many cases, these facts are not confirmed.
"Those who speak today about political corruption, let them give information on who finance political parties," Garalov said.
