The Independence Day of the Kingdom of Morocco - the 11th anniversary of the ascension to the throne of King Mohammed VI, was celebrated in Baku on July 30.
According to the Ambassador of Morocco to Azerbaijan Hassan Hami, thanks to a far-sighted policy of the leaders of both countries, the relations between Morocco and Azerbaijan are rapidly developing in all spheres. Officials of Morocco are expected to visit Baku soon, during which there are plans to sign agreements aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Ali Abbasov conveyed greetings of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the Ambassador to Morocco, noting that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries in 1992, they they have been constantly developing.
"Since the first day, Morocco has supported Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict at the international level," he said.
According to Abbasov, Days of Culture of Morocco are also expected to be conducted in Azerbaijan this year. Days of Culture of Azerbaijan in Morocco took place in 2009.
