Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today received Turkish minister of national defense Vecdi Gonul, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
The Head of State said relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey were successfully developing in all fields, in particular the defense one. Touching upon the Turkish minister's visit, President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope it would mark a comprehensive exchange of views on how to expand the cooperation in this field.
The President expressed confidence the defense cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey would further strengthen.
Gonul conveyed Turkish President Abdullah Gul's and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's greetings to the Head of State.
The Turkish minister stressed the defense cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey was continuously deepening, expressing confidence it would further strengthen.
The Azerbaijani leader asked Gonul to deliver his greetings to the Turkish President and Prime Minister.
