Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov offered the deepest condolences to the U.S. President Barack Obama over numerous human casualties and significant damage caused by strong storms in the southern states of the country, the Turkmen media outlets reported.
The head of Turkmenistan expressed words of empathy and encouragement to the families and relatives of those killed and injured.
According to U.S. media outlets, the current tornado surpassed the April 1974 storm which blew into the U.S. south and midwest. The death toll at the time was 315 people.
