The Administration of the President of Georgia positively estimates the statement made by the prime minister of the country, the adviser of Mikheil Saakashvili Nino Kalandadze told at a briefing on Wednesday.
"We highly estimate that positive signal and the tendency which were shown after the meeting of the president with the prime minister. I mean, in particular, the readiness of making the joint statement of the president and the prime minister about the foreign policy of Georgia, as well as the statement made after the meeting of the prime minister and the chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia. It must be stressed that the independence of court, as well as non-interference in the affairs of media, were one of the main questions at the meeting of the president and the prime minister. We are glad that today we heard some positive statements of the prime minister. We hope that these statements won't remain simply words and they will be followed by effective steps on the part of the prime minister and the government. Given all this, we emphasize the need of carrying out meetings of the president and the prime minister in the future, and we consider that there's no alternative to dialog", told Nino Kalandadze.
