The information about the intention of Egypt to recognize the so-called "Armenian genocide" is not true, Turkish Foreign Ministry Spokesman Levent Gumrukcu told Trend on Monday.
"We have learned through our own channels in Egypt, that this information is false. The Egyptian side reported to us, that the interim president Adly Mansur doesn't even have an account in Twitter social network", Gumrukchu said.

Earlier in microblog on behalf of the interim president Adly Mansur in Twitter social network it was reported that the Egyptian new government intended to recognize the so-called Armenian genocide.

"The Egypt representatives will sign a document in UN, confirming that Egypt officially recognizes Armenian genocide, committed by Turkish authorities, and at the result of which 1 million Armenians died", the microblog, allegedly belonging to Mansur, stated.
The Egypt-Turkey relations worsened recently. The Egyptian side accuses Turkey of interfering in its internal affairs.

Earlier Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared, that Egyptian Army ,while breaking up demonstrations of Morsi supporters, committed genocide against its own people, resulting in the deaty of more than 2, 000 civilians.

Turkey in protest recalled its ambassador from Egypt and declared suspension of military exercises with Egypt.
