Baku, Azerbaijan, June 30
By Elchin Mehdiyev - Trend:
Azerbaijan supports the consistent fulfillment of all the principles of the Helsinki Final Act, but the country is against the adoption of only one of them without taking into account the violation of borders and sovereignty, head of Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE PA, Bahar Muradova said on June 30.
She made the remarks in response to the comments of the head of the Armenian delegation, Artashes Geghamyan during the meeting of the General Committee on Political Affairs and Security as part of the 23rd Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Baku.
Muradova underscored that the Armenian side shouldn't accuse Azerbaijan in order to justify its own position.
In the 38th amendment to the resolution, Armenia proposed the principle of 'self determination of peoples', reflected in the Helsinki Final Act, would be given the same status as the principles of inviolability of borders and territorial integrity.
