The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany condemns the attempts of some forces to politicize the murder of journalist Rasim Aliyev, said the message of the embassy August 14.
In particular, the embassy condemned the attempts of some circles in Germany towards the politicization of the murder, which spread distorted information about the activities of journalist Rasim Aliyev.
The message said that using the fact of tragic death of a person by certain circles for political purposes and for self-promotion doesn't fit into the framework of morality.
The embassy encourages not to take attempts to politicize the incident and the criminal case initiated in connection with this.
The letter also said that as a result of operational-investigative measures immediately conducted by law enforcement authorities of Azerbaijan, persons suspected of committing a crime were attracted to the investigation.
The investigation of the criminal case continues, and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev holds control of the investigation, the message said.
Rasim Aliyev, working for Ann.az website, was beaten and as a result, suffered multiple injuries on August 8. Aliyev died in a clinical medical center on August 9.
"The president instructed the appropriate authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan to fully investigate the incident in a short period of time, find the perpetrators and bring them to justice, and the investigation is supervised by him personally," Ali Hasanov, the Azerbaijani president's Aide for Public and Political Affairs, said earlier.
