Macedonian president to take part in fourth Baku Global Forum

Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov will take part in the fourth Baku Global Forum to be held in March 2016, the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with the Diaspora said Oct. 8.

Ivanov made this statement at a meeting with the head of the State Committee, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, Nazim Ibrahimov.

The meeting was held as part of the conference "New Vision of Neighborhood and Cooperation in Europe" in Sofia organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.

The activity of the center was discussed at the meeting.

The president of Macedonia said that the center has become a "brain" center and discussions held here are very important for regional states. He went on to add that Macedonia supports Azerbaijan's initiatives aimed at promoting tolerance and mutual understanding.

The chairman of the state committee said that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev personally participates in these forums and that Azerbaijan has always been interested in discussion of global issues.

Ibrahimov said that forums held in Baku with the support of the president of Azerbaijan, made an important contribution to intensification of intercultural dialogue and search for solutions to global problems.
