Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has decreed to appoint Madat Guliyev the chief of the State Security Service.
"I decide in line with the paragraph 32 of the article 109 of the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic to appoint Madat Guliyev the chief of the State Security Service of the Azerbaijan Republic," read the president's decree.
President Ilham Aliyev has also decreed to appoint Orkhan Sultanov the chief of the country's Foreign Intelligence Service.
