BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 23. The website of the US Foreign Policy Association, based in New York, has published an article titled “Azerbaijan: A Center for Demining,” Trend reports, referring to the State Committee for Diaspora Affairs of Azerbaijan.

Moreover, it was noted that the author of the article is a well-known political scientist and journalist, founder and CEO of "Dona Gracia Center for Diplomacy" Rachel Avraham.

The article says that Azerbaijan and the UN jointly organized the third international conference on “Mitigating Environmental Impact of Landmines: Resource Mobilization for Safe and Green Future”.

Furthermore, it was noted that Azerbaijan declared humanitarian demining the 18th national Sustainable Development Goal and signed a document emphasizing the global importance of international cooperation in the field of demining with the UN Development Program.

The article also reads that Azerbaijan shares its demining experience with the international community.

Additionally, it is emphasized that in 2023, new human casualties were recorded in nine countries - Azerbaijan, Iraq, Laos, Lebanon, Mauritania, Myanmar, Syria, Ukraine, and Yemen - due to cluster munitions explosions, and the information of the Cluster Munitions Monitor organization on the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan is given.
