�Azeri authorities took into consideration main recommendations by inter’l orgs,” Ali Hasssanov

“The fact indicted in the last report of the OSCE/ODIHR observation mission remained in the past and they do not reflect the current pre-election situation in Azerbaijan. The 25 October 2005 presidential decree on urgent measures related to preparations and holding of the parliamentary elections envisages all measures on prevention of the current problems,” Ali Hassanov, the head of the Public-Political Division of the President’s Apparat, stated during the conversation with journalists, Trend reports.

“Starting from 25 October to the voting day no defects will be observed in the actions of the Azerbaijani authorities,” the representative of the President’s administration said. He stressed that the Azerbaijani authorities took into consideration the main part of the recommendations by the international organizations, the rest would be analyzed and taken into consideration soon.

Hassanov noted as of Saturday none of the opposition leaders, the candidates to deputies or the participants of the unsanctioned protest actions were under the custody.

“We hope that the opposition will not attempt to hold unsanctioned action until the voting day and the authorities will not set to forced measures,” he underlined. Hassanov stressed that the leadership of the country would do their best to hold fair, open and democratic parliamentary elections.

As to use of inking method on the voting day, Hassanov reported that all technical details of the issue was solved. “Complex measures on import of the dye and devices checking presence of the dye on fingers are currently taken,” the representative of the President’s Administration said. He also added that all trainings for the employees of the election committees would be over until the voting day.
