On 8 December police officer Koroglu Gasimov, the chief of the police station of the Nizamy district Criminal Investigation Department of Ganja town was dismissed at the order of Ramil Usubov, the Interior Minister, the press service of the Ministry told Trend.
The Prosecutor General’s Office filed criminal case on article 309 of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code (abuse of duty services) in regard to Gasimov on the base of complaints by citizens.
Gasimov illegally detained Eshgim Hamidov and Bagban Aliyev, the residents of Ganja suspected of stealing, at the police station from 6 to 10 November and used force in regard to them.
