The Central Election Commission (CEC) in the new composition will be formed early 2006 вЂ" late January, Anver Aliyev, member of the CEC, told Trend.
The new composition of the CEC will be formed of 18 people.6 members will represent the political parties with the majority represented in the parliament, 6 вЂ" without party membership and 6 members of the parties in minority in the parliament. The political parties, nominating their members for the elections commissions, should make written appeals to the Milli Majlis by 10 January. If any of the parties refuse, the commission will be comprised of representatives from other parties, as well as bipartisan candidates.
The CEC is expected to hold its festive meeting on 30 December.
