The book was written by Prof. Rudolf Ivanov, an outstanding Russian historian involved in Caucasus history, a member of the Union of Writers and Russian Union of Journalists, which is author of 23 books and around 200 articles. His works cover history of the Russian Empire and Caucasus, as well as books dedicated to the history of Caucasus nations, heroism of the representatives of the Caucasus nations and their role in defense and prosperity of the Russian Empire.
