The chief of the headquarters of the Turkish Armed Forces, Army General Hilmi Ozkek, arrived in Azerbaijan on 29 June. The airliners carrying Ozkek landed at Baku international airport named after Heydar Aliyev at 12.00pm [local time].
The Turkish embassy in Baku told Trend the key objective of the visit is to receive Shohrat (Fame), that he was awarded. At 14.00 [local time] he is scheduled to meet with the Azerbaijani Colonel General Safar Abiyev.
Last Ozkek visited Azerbaijan in October 2005.
