The National Survival Movement of South Azerbaijan (NSMSA) told Trend that Azerbaijanis from Southern Azerbaijan [Iran] will stage a rally in Toronto, Canada, at 14:00 hours [local time] on 22 September 2006.
Organized by the representatives of the National Survival Movement of South Azerbaijan, based in Toronto and Azerbaijan Community Association of Ontario (ACAO), the act will be held outside the NSMSA building.
The rally is held to protest against the non-permission of study of the native language and distortion of their history. Speaking in Azerbaijani is banned even at kindergarten level.
