Mahmoud Mammadguliyev, the Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister, stated on 27 November 2006 that Azerbaijan plans to complete talks on services with the WTO member-states by the end of 2007 and no later than the first half of 2008, Trend reports. He marked Azerbaijan's progress in this direction and the state commission on Azerbaijan's entrance to the WTO to clarify the position on services.
At present Azerbaijan is conducting multilateral talks with 8 to10 WTO member-states. Before the next round of talks, bilateral meetings are planned with the European Union and Turkey.
At present talks with Moldova, Georgia and Oman have been finalized and agreements are expected to be signed, he said.
