The Georgian President is sure that the number of tourists in Adjara will reach 3 million people in the near future, Mikheil Saakashvili said in Poti, speaking about the tourism potential of the Black Sea coast of Georgia.
"Today, the number of tourists in Adjara exceeded 400,000 and we will reach the target of the Soviet times by the end of the year, as well as will exceed this figure in the coming year. When I earlier said the number of tourists in 2012 would amount to 2 million, our opponents claimed that Saakashvili bored with his lies. I want to say specifically for them - not two million, and in 2012 we will have three million tourists. We are rapidly developing, we have serious plans," the President said.
