Former goalkeeper of the Azerbaijani football club Neftchi will play for the Tabriz team Poladgostar.
"Neftchi's ex-goalkeeper, Ruslan Majidov, has signed a one-year contract with the Poladgostar club," said Jamshid al-Khatibi, the Director of the Iranian club, ISNA reported.
According to Khatibi, Majidov participated in a Poladgostar training session and performed well. "By signing the contract with Majidov, we have strengthened the team. A total of 21 footballers have been drawn into the club," he said.
The Poladgostar club plays for in Iran's first division. The Baku Neftchi club is considered the flagship of Azerbaijani football and currently is in first place in the country's Premier League.
Majidov played for Neftchi in 2007.
