Azerbaijani-U.S insurance company's fees increased by 5 percent in 2010

A subsidiary of the U.S insurance company Chartis (AIG Insurance) in Azerbaijan - Chartis Azerbaijan collected insurance premiums amounting to 1.739 million manat in 2010, the company said.

The premiums totaled 1.651 million manat with payments worth 1.187 million manat in 2009.

About 82 percent of the fees, or 1.421 million manat fell on voluntary insurance.

Chartis Azerbaijan collected premiums to the amount of 23.155 manat by insuring against accidents and illnesses.

The company's authorized capital hits 3.5 million manat. The company provides one compulsory and seven types of voluntary services.
