The population of Azerbaijan bought goods and nonfood goods worth 13.7 billion manat in 2010 or 9 percent more compared to 2009, the State Statistics Committee said.

The population of Azerbaijan bought goods and nonfood goods worth 13.7 billion manat in 2010 or 9 percent more compared to 2009, the State Statistics Committee said.

Roughly 14.7 percent of turnover was formed by legal entities, 45.4 percent - individual entrepreneurs engaged in commercial activities due to investments of legal entities, 39.9 percent - of people engaged in activities at fairs and markets.

Roughly 8.8 billion manat fall to food products, 4.9 billion manat - non-food items.

The official exchange rate is 0.7974 manat to $1.
