The Azerbaijani NGOs have developed proposals for the Diaspora's development.
The International Diaspora Centre (IDC) has organized a conference on "Activities of the Azerbaijani Diaspora: Problems and Prospects," aiming to develop a package of proposals for the revitalization of the Azerbaijani Diaspora. The event was attended by representatives of various NGOs, teachers, university students studying abroad, and experts.
The conference discussed a number of issues. Associate professor at the Baku Slavic University Shirinbey Aliyev, Head of the Young Journalists' Network Ramil Aliyev, Vice-Rector of the University, political scientist Khaleddin Ibrahimli, Department Head at the Caucasus University Jeyhun Mahmudlu, Expert at the organization "Institute of national consciousness "Tariyel Faziloglu, Chairman of the German-Azerbaijani Society, Professor Chingiz Abdullayev, President of the National Forum of NGOs Rauf Zeyni, Head of the Russian representation of the IDC, lawyer Alemdar Nabiyev, Project Coordinator of the Institute" Factory Of Thought" Sanan Najafov, Head of the Azerbaijan-European movement Surkhay Latifov, experts Namig Eyvazov, Samir Iskenderov and others addressed the event.
The participants presented a package of proposals to Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations, which includes the development and dissemination of visual aids for the study of the Azerbaijani alphabet in Latin script by compatriots abroad, provision of transparency in the activities of Diaspora organizations, holding of regular events and activities to enhance the promotion of the realities of Azerbaijan, and others.
