Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov said an alternative complex, which is being built in the State Flag Square with a view to host the Eurovision Song Contest-2012, will be completed on time.

"I believe the construction of the sports-concert complex will be completed in due time. Because, the influential European organization performs the work. We have other venue also, for example, the Heydar Aliyev Sport and Concert Complex. Certain work should be carried out there - to build a hall for the press and "green room"," he added.

Alpine BAU Deutschland AG has launched building in Baku the biggest ever sports and concert complex in Azerbaijan, the company told Trend. "The venue will accommodate over 23,000 people," he added.

This complex is regarded as one of the possible places to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Azerbaijan.
