Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he was dissatisfied from lashing a student who has aspersed him and was sentenced to 74 lashes by court, Iranian government's official website (Dolat.ir) reported on Tuesday.
Peiman Aref, a student of Tehran University's Law college, was lashed on Dec. 10, after enduring a year of jail. He was charged on aspersion on the Iranian president. The Iranian court banned him from journalistic and political activities for lifetime.
Ahmadinejad noted that he was dissatisfied from lashing a young student, while high-ranking individuals are continuing disgracing the president.
Critics against Ahmadinejad have been boosted following Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei's protest againt sacking Iranian Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi by the Iranian president in May.
The confrontation comes after Ahmedinejad refused to accept the reinstatement of intelligence minister Heydar Moslehi and boycotted cabinet meetings for 11 days.
Some Iranian high-ranking officials condemn Ahmadinejad for disobedience to Khamenei.
