The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers has amended the "Exemplary Charter on Special Open- and Closed-Type Education Institutions."
Under the amendments, the ombudsman and the members of the National Preventive Group may visit closed-type education institutions at any time without prior notice, the cabinet told Trend on Monday.
The ombudsman and the NPG members are endowed with the powers to obtain relevant information, meet persons at closed-type education institutions and talk in confidence in the presence of an interpreter.
