Iran will build a specialized eye hospital in the Iraqi city of Karbala, and a specialized urological hospital in the city of Najaf, stated Deputy Chairman of the Iranian Red Crescent Society Ali Heydari, the Iranian news agency ISNA said on Tuesday.
Heydari said that Iraqi Ministry of Health has already approved the construction of these hospitals, and that work on their documentation is underway.
"Some 300 square meters have already been allocated to a sixteen storied building that will be built in Karbala. Currently, work is underway, and we hope that the construction of the hospital will be completed in 18 months and that it will go into immediate operation," he said.
