Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan visits Baku High Oil School (PHOTO)

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan, Ismail Alper Joshgun visited the Baku High Oil School (BHOS) on Thursday, the educational institution informed Trend.

BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov informed the guest about the path traversed by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan in recent years and provided detailed information on projects implemented in Azerbaijan and abroad.

He mentioned that the BHOS, with the status of a public institution under SOCAR was established by a decree of President Ilham Aliyev on the 29th of November 2011.

Gasimov noted that the BHOS, where the learning process is organized in accordance with the latest standards, has established a close partnership with the British University Heriot Vatt, thus providing school graduates with two diplomas.

The rector said the school accepts students showing the best results and stressed that in the nearest future, its new campus will meet the highest of standards and that it currently operates in a highly equipped facility.

Azerbaijan and Turkey are not only friendly and brotherly countries, but also the closest of allies in all areas, Ambassador Ismail Alper Joshgun said.

It was noted that the establishment of the school meets all international standards for the development of Azerbaijan which is an encouraging fact; it was also stressed that it is necessary for BHOS to start cooperation in various educational projects and to be provided with necessary support for networking with various technical universities in Turkey.

In conclusion, the Ambassador was granted a "Guest of Honor" Diploma from the BHOS.
