Construction of four pedestrian bridges on Ziya Bunyadov Avenue (formerly Darnagul highway) of the Azerbaijani capital of Baku is continuing, head of the press service of Azerbaijani Transport Ministry's Azeryolservis JSC, Punhan Mursaliyev told Trend on Jan. 9.

He said that bridges are being constructed near house number #118 on Ziya Bunyadov Avenue near the Azpetrol gas station, at the intersection of Alaskar Gaibov Avenue and Ziya Bunyadov Avenue and near the Institute of Chemistry of Additives named after academician A.M.Guliyev.

"Piers for the bridge have been assembled near the Azpetrol gas station and currently facing work being conducted there. The foundations have been laid for piers of a bridge at the intersection of Alaskar Gaibov Avenue and Ziya Bunyadov Avenue and work is underway to install them. Aside from that foundations have been laid for piers of the two other bridges and parts of the piers and spans are currently being manufactured," Mursaliyev said.

The press service head noted that the overpasses have the same parameters with a length for each being 56 metres, width - three metres and height - six metres.
