Russian athlete Irina Annenkova has become the 2-time European champion in rhythmic gymnastics among junior competitors.

She won the second gold at the 30th Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships held in Baku in the performance with tape. She received 15.816 points.

Silver medal went to the Ukrainian gymnast Valeria Hanina, who scored 15.750 points, while the bronze medal was captured by the Israeli athlete Linoy Ashram, with 15.650 points.

Azerbaijani gymnast Jala Piriyeva scored 14.233 points and became the eighth.

The 30th Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships is being held in the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.

Some 258 gymnasts from 33 countries have been competing for nine sets of awards in the tournament that is being held in Baku for the third time.

The championship is scheduled to wrap up on June 15.
