BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 20. Armenian Armed Forces units are once again targeting civilians, senior prosecutor of the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan Kanan Zeynalov said during a briefing held today, Trend reports.

"As it is known, two employees of the State Road Agency of Azerbaijan, who died as a result of a terrorist act committed by Armenian illegal armed groups on September 19, were working in the territories liberated from occupation in order to create road infrastructure," he said.

Zeynalov also noted that the four police officers who exploded on a mine laid by a sabotage group of Armenian illegal armed groups were not involved in any military actions, they were sent to the mentioned area to restore public order.

The senior prosecutor also stated that, as a result of terrorist acts committed by the illegally created formations of the Armenian armed forces in Karabakh, civilians were injured yesterday as a result of shelling from large-caliber weapons, including mortars. In Azerbaijan's Shusha, Vidadi Farhadov (born in 1967), who worked as an engineer for housing and repair services, was killed, and in the Aghdam district, an attempt was made to deliberately kill Mehman Hasanov (born in 1992), an excavator operator for a company carrying out rehabilitation work in the territory, with multiple shrapnel wounds.

All this testifies to the fact that Armenian illegal armed groups continue to commit terrorist crimes against civilians.

"Criminal cases have been opened on each fact, and investigations are underway. In the current circumstances, the prosecutors are conducting possible investigative actions as well as appointing appropriate expertise to determine the amount of damage to civilian infrastructure facilities," Zeynalov added.

In order to ensure the provisions of the Trilateral Statement, to stop large-scale provocations in the Karabakh economic region, to disarm and withdraw formations of the Armenian armed forces from the territories of Azerbaijan, to neutralize their military infrastructure, to ensure the safety of the peaceful population returning to the territories liberated from occupation, civil servants involved in construction and reconstruction works, and our military personnel, as well as to restore the constitutional order of the Republic of Azerbaijan, anti-terrorist measures have been launched in the region.

Civilians and infrastructure objects are not targets during localized anti-terrorist measures carried out in Azerbaijan's Karabakh region.

Only military targets belonging to illegal armed formations of the separatist regime are put out of action with the use of high-precision weapons available in the arsenal of the Azerbaijani Army.
