BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 29. The Zangezur tanker owned by the transport fleet of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) CJSC has been overhauled, a source in ASCO told Trend.
"During the repairs carried out at the Zykh Ship Repair and Construction Yard, the main and auxiliary engines of the tanker, the propeller shaft, and some electrical equipment were adjusted or replaced with new ones, and old equipment was repaired. Additionally, pipe-laying work on the deck and in the engine room was completed.
Two sets of modern Inmarsat-C equipment, one set of DS-85 speedometers, one set of NAVTEX-700 meteorological data receivers, and one set of fixed UQD radio stations were installed on the vessel.
The living rooms for the ship's crew were also repaired.
The underwater and above-water parts of the tanker, the main deck and superstructure, as well as the anchor chains, were sandblasted and painted.
After the repairs, the tanker was returned to service," the source added.
To note, the Zangezur tanker is 149.9 meters long, 17.3 meters wide, and has a full freight carrying capacity of 13,800 tons.
