BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 1. The painting "Kharibulbul" by young Azerbaijani artist Selim Abbaszade will be officially showcased in the permanent exhibition hall of the International Museum of Children's Art in Oslo, alongside works from children in 185 countries, Trend reports via Azerbaijan's State Committee for Work with Diaspora.
The young talent’s other piece, "Tyg-Tyg Khanum," will also be archived in the museum.
Abbaszade is the first young Azerbaijani artist to have his work displayed in the museum.
The museum's director Angela Goldin stated that the vibrant depiction of nature in Abbaszade's paintings brings warmth, peace, beauty, and unity to the "cold North."
She highlighted the museum's three main functions: to present children's art from all continents, preserve it, and pass it on to future generations.
The museum plans to collaborate with Selim Abbaszade in the future as well.
Notably, the International Museum of Children's Art in Oslo hosted its first exhibition of Abbaszade's works dedicated to Karabakh in 2023, which was organized by Azerbaijan's youth organization NAYO and the Nizami Ganjavi Sunday School for Azerbaijani language studies in Norway.
